Can't imagine MSFT being unstable. They've made the right bets in tech(OpenAI, Github, etc.) that even if their core products lose market share, they are well-positioned to be prominent for at least the next couple of years as a conservative estimate.

Also, their wlb is known to be good and you're unlikely to be consistently overworked.

you should research the tax rates you'd be expected to pay in both locations. there are income tax benefits for living in the state of washington. really, the most important salary number tends to be your take home pay.

yee u right washington has no state tax and the housing is 10-20% cheaper than boston. so the pay difference after taxes is: take home 10k higher at hubspot. also I could try to negotiate with hubspot to match stocks and bonus

i think MSFT considers seattle as LCOL thats why its 122k where as in SF they give around 144k-150k base

msft also gives 50% match on 401k which is an underrated benefit, its a free 11k if u max out ur 401k

i would definitely try to research hubspot promo rates and path bc msft is known to be slow because of their half steps
