I can’t understand
Yeahh should we mail them and ask?
Are you guys going to followup
worth a shot but I feel like itll just be a generic response
or the team we matched is out of hc
but why not reject us? I feel like it would be easier for them too
Most likely this
ngl
The team you guys applied to, the location might be ful
but I applied to general position
yeah that sounds reasonable too
a lot of the guys who are getting offers got into the US offices with available hc
most of canada other than maybe toronto are full
seattle I heard is also full
so we gotta wait for ppl to renege offers?
maybe, or pray u get matched in another team with open spots
dw getting on waitlist is good
many ppl got rejected, not even wl
that's true
it just means ur so close and they unfortunately got hc'ed
but then there's a lot of other ppl who interviewed a while ago and haven't heard back
they're prob in a better situation than wl ppl
since they're prob in the process of getting team matched
yeah, it's a bit weird, but you can say the same for other ppl cuz ik people that still doing OA's
no gurantees
my friend just got wl yesterday, and he did his interview 4 weeks ago
before that he wasn't put on wl or anything
zon process is known to be messy ngl
it's freegame atp
ur friend didn't get matched most likely
i would say rn if you didn't get rejected or waitlisted
you're in a better spot than ppl that got waitlisted
maybe that's true ngl
Yea if u haven’t heard anything you’ll either get matched with a team or j put on wl I think
yeah may be right ngl
unf I'm wl
seeing the pattern that's going on rn
it sounds like their waitlist is like a weak hire list 😭

a bit ngl 😭
apparently they don't do weakhires
but atp just reject us then
amazon gets so many applicants anyway
from their pov if they want the best talent they'll just wait til they get through all the applicants, get all their strong hires in, and then filter in the weak hires
with how long they're interviewing/recruiting people like
true I think that's a pre plausible strat
get the best first, then filter others to find strong hires in that list
if they accepted everyone early and then had no room for super cracked candidates that they're just interviewing late
that's reasonable yeah
but also ik some ppl who got waitlisted
and they got pushed from summer to fall
they're keeping their options opened ig
