One of the problems in tech 2 was like a reworded meeting rooms 2
I forgot the other one
Uhh something about managing a music library
Keeping track of users and their favorite artists
okkk
was it tough ?
Pretty easy though
ohh okk
But there were 2 follow ups
and LP?
The last follow up was hard
ohh ok
I had a 1 hour behavioral with 6 questions
okkk
congrats, Time!
seems like it
congrats! any changes on your portal?
Just says archived still
Yea
Did you put nyc area as your preferred location in the app?
tbf i didnt even kno amazon was also in NY
i dont even understand how are they hiring?
are you from ivy league @shadow otter
was ur onsite in person, or virtual tho
what does that even mean
I go to a very shitty college in NYC
You would never have heard of it unless u live in NYC
Mf def goes to Cuse 😂
It's a cuny
i am jus asking
If yk what that is
when is ur start date?
How did you prep for ood any resources or tips?
Not really, I didn't prep. I just made sure I remembered knew how to make classes in python
For new grad they don't require you to know design patterns
You'll see a lot of stuff about ood online where people have complicated solutions
But for new grad all you need to do is able to create classes and methods
And make something that makes sense
If you've done oop in school that should be enough
okss
and do you remember the LP ques?? like mainly what they concentrated on?
I remember a few
"Tell me about a time you recently took initiative to learn something which later had a positive effect on you"
"Tell me about a time you really had to dig deep to solve a problem and find the central issue"
How many follow up questions do they ask for LPs?
is it fungible SDE role or any domain specific role?
general
thanks
Are they really hard on behavioral? Like are we okay if we have basic stories and not too good ones? ideally, how many minutes should we answer a question before any follow-ups?
Very hard on behavioral
But I kinda got unlucky
I had 6 behavioral questions, they didn't even ask me about my experience
It was straight to behavioral
Other ppl had more chill behaviorals
Theirs last only 30 minutes
You should prepare very thoroughly for the behavioral
And think of any possible follow ups
The follow ups were tough
They really dig deep
ooooh! 🫠i have mine day after. I’m still not sure about behavioral. How many stories did you prepare? And were they over 3-4 minutes?
I don’t have any experience and have stories just on projects and stuffs so i am worried if that’s even okay or not
3-4 minutes is fine
Most of my stories were about a team group project I did with ppl outside of an internship
ooh, okay! Thank you so much!!
can you give an example of the kinds of follow ups they ask? do they expect you to quantify your stories?
How much TC, Base and stocks have they offered for the NYC location?
141,900 base + 44,100/36,400 bonus + 122,590 stocks 5/15/40/40 vesting schedule (192.1k TC)
Ok, Thanks, are you an international candidate? Or US Citizen?
I remembered getting similar questions but then the interviewer asked my some follow-ups because I missed some parts of the question but I was able to answer it. am i cooked :(( @shadow otter
it was weird that i applied too early when the job didn't have a specific job id so rn for some reasons the recruiter told me that she couldn't access my account for result :((
thy fr just handing out same packages lmao
Every company does this?
ive seen a few different packaages for NY tbh
