i just had a google senior swe review my resume he says im already ready for next cycle faang+ applications

but im prob gonna add at least 1 more goated project and try to get something this summer even if its small

Flashy in depth machine learning projects that are frankly way out of depth for my age (in reality standards, not cscd so dont get on me), last summer a lead dev at an AI startup (genuine cool techy shit, not some stupid little cliche bad idea startup like most r), financial program tool built for a friend in IB, and referrals to basically every faang from current FTEs

Also stronger gpa

And tbh faang ready really only means zon and meta LOL unless i land something literally anything this summer even if its an eh internship

And didn’t start really picking back up till january

Its very easy to pick out the objectively better answers that adhere to lps more and to have the common sense to stay consistent

So i believe the difference in time frames is just different recruiting teams working at different paces
