Told the recruiter I was unable to do a Summer internship, they told me to reject the offer and they would place me on the fall waitlist, as mentioned by other people on this discord. I did that and got the offer today

Received Summer Offer: 01/24
Rejected Summer Offer: 02/03
Received Fall Offer: 02/07

The original message they sent was:
If you are no longer available or interested in a summer internship, we kindly ask that you decline your offer. Should there be any change to business need, we can revisit your application and reconnect again at that time with any potential updates to your offer in regards to the internship season.

No I did not, but I reiterated that despite my original offer being located in Redmond, I was still open to xyz other locations. One of those included “Bay Area”
