apply with referral - 11/13
OA - 12/4
final availability form - 1/2
final - 1/28
offer - 2/3
What time did you get the email? Was by a recruiter or automated?
got offer from automated email, around 2:30pm EST
had a recruiter along the process tho
edit: after final scheduled
what lc
I gave the OA but i don't know who my recruiter is, is there a way to tell ??
amazon top 100 should be good
I only had recruiter after final was scheduled
thanks!
congrats! you had any OOD?
yes, kinda
here's my rounds
round 1 - 1 lc med & 1 lc hard (not solved perfectly)
round 2 (bar raiser) - more than 30min are behavioral qs, then 1 vague coding probably to test requirement clarification
round 3 - under 30min behavioral, 1 coding mix of OOD and LC. OOD is light, no design pattern needed
thanks! congrats again!
thanks!
can you give some resources to prep for Behavioral, i am struggling with that 🙂
congrats! for the
'1 vague coding probably to test requirement clarification' do you mind share a little bit more bout this?
Amazon top 100 filtered by the last 30 days or 3 months?
this list of questions is comprehensive: https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-question/437082/amazon-behavioral-questions-or-leadership-principles-or-lp
I also used hellointerview to do mock for LPs
it's like, "given two location, find the best path between them" kind of question, I believe you have to ask what is "best" here, how input is represented, etc.
30 days, 2 questions I got are on top 20 of 30 days
like a Dijkstra n ask some detailed clarification q before implement the solution? smth like that?
it depends, algorithm/solution should come after you got some idea of the problem
I did not even implement, just explain approach and how algorithm works
gotcha sounds like they want us to ask clarification qs , shock they start have code question during br round now
it was bar raiser round, so they might be interested how you go around with ambiguity
yep, I thought so as well LOL
a bit shock when interviewer mentioned there is some coding
yea zon always kinda random on each round, im gonna prepping that thanks
np
what do they expect in OOD? Just requirements clarification and code or we need to draw UML and use case diagrams and stuff too? Also, can you suggest some resources to practice OOD?
just requirements clarification and code
you can take a look at this: https://github.com/ashishps1/awesome-low-level-design
but the interview was a lot easier
oh alright, thanks so much! Also, can you just tell what were the lc questions? And for prepping, is amazon last 30 days tagged enough?
.
amazon last 30 days should be enough
okay, thank you so much!
hey bro, how did you prepare for behavioral interview? Like did you use scenarios from your college projects and learnings? asking because i dont have much internship or job experience
I used stories mostly from my past internships tho
you can use group projects, anything with lots of interactions
Oh alright! Can we use our personal learnings or something like that, eg “Explain one interesting thing you’ve learned recently”; i’m planning to mention about a course and its labs i implemented
yeah that sounds good, can be better if you mention something you learn by your own
was your bar raiser a manager?
had two interviews, one with an sde 2 and a manager so not sure what to expect for my rescheduled third
Principal engineer
The manager might be a bar raiser, just come prepared
anything outside of amazon top 150 to prep for?
prep for less frequent questions if you have time. Also there are some chances they ask OOD
