What position
software engineer, new grad
i didn't take the phone yet so idk
but I also got this phone via their winter tech fellowship
as a finalist
phone is after OA
Good luck bro, just got rejected after their learning and decomp round
What is this?
how was the oa? if you remember
it was 1 leetcode easy, a leetcode djikstra variant medium, and a rest query question
When’d you apply?
I'm just learning about their process now, what does decomp look like? is it more system design?
for what? because I first applied to their winter tech fellowship (anyone can join, but you have to build something over 3 weeks and then submit your app), and they guaranteed that all participants will have an expidited process, so after that I applied to new grad
very high level system design
deepest is saying what format would a sql data base be in a server
but learn apis use cases, distributed system concepts etc.
i see, did you use any resources to study this or did you just ball?
was decomp and learning round in one day or separate?
Back to back 1 hour each
Kinda just full sent it cuz I’ve done projects where high level architecture is needed so I didn’t find review too useful, and I took Distributed systems, honestly just watch neetcodes system design examples was all I did
nice, im only concerned bc im taking distributed systems rn, but you right
i'll just ball
Just don’t get too attached during the process since there are 6 rounds total
I think there is something weird going on with their hiring but idk maybe that’s just me 😂
rip
what do you mean
in the sense that even though you thought you did well, they'll still reject you?
i got a full solution in my decomp, just a couple hiccups that the interviewer helped me through, and the learning the dude went 20min over and just talked with me and said i should hear soon, then week later i got reject
but the recruiter said to apply down the road and let them know so idk what that means, prob general reject message tho
its all good, thinking of applying again for a FDSE role not SWE as done before, dunno if this company has cooldown period or that it affects fdse and swe together, but lemme know if you heard anything about that
