Yeah, presented brute force using a list. Then hash set and then landed on most optimal using trie

Honestly wasn’t super confident at all. Behavioral I used STAR and my stories were fine - talked a lot about ownership and bias for action. But he asked 2-3 follow ups for both Qs which I don’t know is normal. And those follow ups I didn’t use STAR and it was kinda all over the place
He was nice and was like “oh yeah that happens a lot” or “yes I relate” and stuff throughout my stories which made me feel a bit more confident though

The technical I did fuck up and clicked python instead of JS cause I coded my thing in java script. I was scared that might have fucked my interview up.
I talked a lot a lot during my coding and asked a lot of initial questions. Got all the time complexities right and presented three different solutions. Also he said the optimal one looked good at the end.

Although near the end instead of saying O(2K) I said O(K) cause technically it was still constant time and he pointed that out. Not sure if he was correcting himself cause he was kinda like “I think it’s O(2K)- but oh yes it’s constant either way”

I tried asking him after the interview what the correct way to say it was and he said he couldn’t tell me
And told me to search it up
Still not sure what to say in an interview if that happens again but oh well ✌🏼
