what does the search team ask (is it Machine learning)? And how do you think you could have done better?

The specific team worked on the financial info on google search. Essentially the info u receive when u search up company stocks and etc. So no ml, and they picked me bc of a prev fintech start up exp, and were looking for someone w c++ exp to help migrate legacy code. I could have done better by really explaining myself in more detail and also talking about all my strong suits. I think i just answered yes/no for a some questions without elaborating which sucks. Should have explained my c++, network programming projects or my intern projects in more detail.

Was curious how much of the interview is actually solving and talking about the solution? Bc 45 min seems like a lot of time for just one question. Did you go through naive and then optimal and talk about complexities and do run throughs and all that?

Its one q with follow ups. The whole interview is for problem solving. Maybe a few mins in the beginning for introduction, but its fully a technical.

@slim matrix for passing the technical interview, did you do anything specific to prepare other than straight grind leetcodes?

some of my friends throw in a little "this is how i would unit test this" but idk if that matters, or if theres other things you mention or talk through during your interview

If u mean final 2 round interviews, i just did leetcode and watched clement mihaileacu mock google interviews to know how to verbally explain my thought process
