As far is I understand, after your interview your interviewers + maybe recruiter and some other people do a debrief and if they think you were good enough then you move on to hiring committee and after that the odds of an offer are pretty good. That’s why most rejects are in the first week or two after the interview. And then occasionally there’s a late (month + reject) that is hiring committee @fast fable
