- Did not expedite in fear of applying pressure.
- Just sent one followup email pre-thanksgiving asking for update if any, but no pressure.
He replied on 12/8: "I hope you are doing great, and that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Your feedback is currently under final review by engineering leadership and, in my experience looks promising. Due to the high volume of applications at this time we might not have a final decision for a little while longer. I am hoping to secure the decision this week. I will keep your application top of mind and keep you posted as soon as I have updates to share!"
Interviews (11/1):
Coding 1
- went pretty good.
1/2 tagged top100 but both medium
got optimal solution 2/2 but was shaky on Time Complexity of one + unsure about a followup conceptual q, gave educated guess then we ran out of time
Behavioral
- lowkey the worst out of the 3 interviews. he asked a bunch of tell me a time when... questions, and grilled me on every detail, challenged my intern project design choices, made me present alternatives, and defend why I chose what I did
- He wasnt satisifed for answer to first such question but said it's ok think of another if we have time at end you can lmk
- After that the other 3-4 questions went smooth and I felt I had strong responses that he liked
Coding 2
2/2 tagged top50 1 easy, 1 med
got optimal 2/2 really quick with good explanations on both
guy really liked me and we spent last 20 mins of interview talking about meta, culture, etc and he gave me good life and career advice
definitely my strongest rating on interview
