Umich and 1 ml compiler internship 1 compiler research
curious - where was the prev ml compiler internship? tryna get into ml compilers and compilers in general
and was this for their toronto office too? I think they do pey as well
No Austin office
Some no name small hardware company
how did u like your time there?
Didn’t go, ended up at nvidia
But I heard a lot good things from them
Their ml compiler are all built upon MLIR stack
oh cool what nvidia team?
tenstorrent was probably the startup i wanted to work the most at
i think i missed my opp to work in the field sadly
compiler as well
I think if you start contributing to open source projects built upon MLIR/LLVM, there is a decent chance to get into these ai chip startups. A lot of these companies software stack are shifting to use these tools.
Is there any open soruce projects you recommend for MLIR/LLVM? maybe I should look into GSoC perhaps for LLVM. Did you have any open source contributions?
I didn’t have any open source contribution but I had research experience and done some toy projects using llvm/mlir. I suggest onnx-mlir to start with for simplicity to get familiarized with mlir stack.
thanks for the suggestion 👍 I'll check out onnx-milr. Btw- do u mind taking a look at my resume? I can DM. I have some compiler experience with research too so thought it'd be nice to have another pair of eyes skim it
ye go ahead
