you dont get OPT which allows you to work for the company for 3 years guaranteed while the company applies for your H1B

yeah but only if you graduate from a university in US, I dont know how you can come to US without directly to work without H1B or L1. L1 is only applicable if you work for the company for atleast 1 year outside the US

ya in general intl in canada makes it pretty tough to get a US role but its been my experience that for big tech at least this problem comes up after getting the offer
