it didn’t go smooth at all
mf interviewer told me a general idea for the question and didn’t give me so much as a class definition so i had no idea wtf to do
but i got the question done after asking a bunch of clarifications
and then follow up turned out to be me not getting the optimal solution and then having to figure out optimal which i was able to figure out 80% of the way before the interviewer ended up straight up telling me
that shit was so weird i was supposed to think of making two separate classes for some reason
yeah so it turns out i have an exam the day right after this round we’re chilling

they didn’t ask me tagged and the tagged questions are all easy so there’s no point practicing them
not like you won’t figure it out quickly if they do ask it
for those dming me i usually don’t accept the request unless i know u so pls don’t bother

it’s like the first round recruiter call for a normal company except it’s after the technicals

for me i bombed my third round so i didn’t get a recruiter call
but the recruiter is one of ur interviewers in the third round
they ask u a coding question
and if u pass ig the recruiter stays with u on the call for 30 more mins
they said “we’ll let you know” but i knew that i failed it
bc i did rly bad in the interview
and the lady in the beginning she introduced herself as a recruiter

i remember thinking it was a weird that a recruiter or whatever was asking me a question
i think it’s different for everyone
maybe for me they wanted the recruiter to stay on after
1 hour
tbh i wouldn’t overthink it im sure the process is different for everyone

good to know tho that i shouldn’t expect a recruiter call during my onsite
it’s up to 6 lc cuz sometimes they’ll ask a single design question
that’s what they did for my round 1 and i only have 2 more techs left for my onsite unless i’ve misunderstood the process

I felt the same way tbh I just had one with 2 software engineers and one had more than 8 years of experience and the other had 3 years and they gave me a problem I knew and after I explained it and wrote it on paper the guy with more YOE didn’t understand but the younger one knew what I was doing so I prob bombed it 😭
They also only gave me 3 days to prep for the interview and when I talked to some people in the lobby apparently they got 2 ish weeks to prepare for it.
