seattle
Awesome, don't forget to take your vitamin D supplements
u got rejected?
did you finish neetcode150 or amazon tagged?
Real
I did 125/150 and I did like 180 tagged problems (a huge overlap there tho ofc)
@gilded holly what was the position, and were all questions on tagged?
@gilded holly did they ask any system design questions in the final round?
SDE1 fungible
interview 1: max area of island (solved well optimally), largest island (floundered like a fish out of water đź’€)
interview 2: custom question involving query processing, something between ood and lc (solved optimally and explained well), lp discussion about snowflake internship (went well)
interview 3: lps. dive deep (larped about using the debugger for the first time đź’€ , then he asked for another example which i gave really well), responding to feedback (done well), working on something with limited experience (done well)
whats lps? congrats
Leadership principles
It’s their thing for behavioral interviews
ahh, did they say if they are close to hc?
No they didn’t say anything to me
i am also guessing you got perfect oa score?
Nope
and gratz on your offer ❤️
Were your interviewers from different locations? Congrats
I think they were all in Seattle
2 were on the same team and one was on a different team, but that guy was a replacement interviewer
Would you say that LPs are the main thing they look for?
from 3 month or 30 days
.
I think all
I think the LP part is really important yes
time to get another offer and keep this as backup.
Wouldn’t have gotten in without lps for sure
bro fr , i am telling you. amazon or aws ain't worth your mental health and well being
keep interviewing
I will def

I’m in some processes and will keep them going
nice
But if I have to, I’m taking this
my friend switched from fidelity to amazon , she was a 2022 fall intern. got a rto in july 2024 and moved to aws now she regrets
yeah , ofc you got no choice . i am saying don't stop interviewing and congrats !
you international or ?
lol my dad been at fidelity for 25 years
Nah usa
Not rn
i mean you won't have as hard time as international students are having
Ya tru
for interview 2, was it closer to making UMLs or just filling in predefined functionality
No I just wrote up a Python function and I decided inputs and outputs
would you say it's easier than the LC portion, and how lengthy would you say your interview 2 solution was
I'm going crazy trying to know what I should expect for the ood portion haha
my thing was not that standard
but idk maybe 40 lines or so? i had to write out a bunch of if elses
nah i didnt get
How did u prep for ood and was it easy
i didnt prep for OOD and didnt really have it
@gilded holly how many days after oa did you get reachout for next steps
Like a week
max are of island and largest island are the same thing right? or am i missing something
No
This was p1
This is p2
were you able to solve making a large island or did an explination suffice
I did neither p much
Thanks for sharing
do u remember the specific query processing question? would u say its hard to answer?
It’s not too bad but it does have some complication
It’s like you can decide what inputs you get for a function, but your function should be able to output the result of various different types of queries
For example, you need to write a function that can handle both of these queries:
Managers in marketing with 7+ yoe
Managers in marketing or employees in marketing with 3-6 yoe
So handling the and clauses vs or clauses and also handling priority parentheses: (A and B) or C vs A and (B or C)
oh i get it ty
Hey congrats!
Did you get a list of hackerrank questions from the recruiter email? And did that help?
Could you share your timeline? Thanks! I just got oa
Aug 6 apply
Aug 7 oa
Aug 12 oa complete
Aug 20 email informing I’ve passed oa
Aug 26 interview times requested
Sept 9- Sent 11 interviews
Sept 19 offer
