Any advice for OA?

Application:
I dont have any previous work experience. Just few internships in data science domain (nothing in big sized companies). No CS background. I am graduated in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in data science. I submitted the same resume I use for ML jobs. So its a miracle I got an OA. BTW its for new grad US 2024 role.
OA:
Two LC problems. Two sliding window problems (probably a mid and hard one). Not on leetcode I think. Could solve only half the test cases for the second one. Later the usual work style (its mostly common sense nothing more)

Interview:
First one: (LC+LP)
It was a New York AWS guy with some 25 yr experience. He asked me a custom string encoding and decoding problem (not tagged). I asked him whether only alphabets are in the string and he said its a fair assumption (remember this). I explained him my thought process and went on to code. I wrote optimal encoding code and said I will dry run with an example. He gave an example with other ASCII values like numbers (wtf!). I told him its not a valid input. He said and I quote 'A good engineer should make sure the code doesn't break for any outliers' and he gave me a lecture for about 2 mins. I went to add a validation function in my class but didnt code as he interrupted. I later explained him the decoding logic but didnt code as he stopped me again. he asked me some theory questions on classes and API. Later he went on to LP's in the remaining 25min. Suprisingly, he mentioned the LP name and then asked the question. I think I did well here. He did say 'good example and nicely explained'.
Second One: (LP)
Nothing much to say here. Not a technical guy probably bar riser from california. I think I did well but it's tough to know how you did in behavioral style assignments.
Third One:(LC)
There were two interviewers (one shadow) and both were from Seattle but not from AWS. He asked me a version of two sum (not on leetcode ig). But he was expecting to go from brute force and then to suboptimal and optimal. He was more interested in my thought process than the code. In fact he was writing the code when I was saying the logic (yup true!). I think I gave him 4 different answers. He later modified the question two times. So in total I gave him 6 logics with 6 different time and space complexities. It was more of a conversational and mutual discussion rather than an interview.

Happy to answer any other questions!

Nothing in specifc. Try to clear as many test cases as possible. You dont need the best answer. I have seen people getting interviews with less than half test cases passed for both questions.
