Reached out to a recruiter (SDE2 role), gave OA in Aug 1st week, got final loop which was on Aug 16 and after a week got demoted to SDE1 and then offer letter

OA was good, was able to solve both the questions. I got 1 heap question and 1 basic queue based Q.
Just go through basic data structure questions and amazon's leetcode discuss

They demoted because I'm a recent grad (no prior professional work experience too), they said I'm a better fit for SDE1

so this was not a student programs role but you were still offered L4 offer? I thought they stopped extrernal L4 and only hired through student programs for that

yeah this wasn't student program. Tbh it was random, I reached out to a recruiter who is SDE2 recruiter that's why I interviewed for that role.

Yes, I had to talk to HM for SDE1 role in his team

Onsite was good too, interviewers were responsive. LP's went well and one coding round had standard leetcode question bfs/dfs and other one was dfs string question. LLD question was a common one (you could find on grokking's LLD list) and HLD was a sensor based calculation question.

Can I ask you what LP’s did you focus on and did you have to mention multiple different stories?

so they don't look at resume but they asked lot of follow up questions on LP's and my response but they were not technical follow up so it's doable

Yes, different stories for LPs, also recruiter generally gives what LPs you should focus on few days before your interview
