What was your timeline for this?
Wait why is there oa after phone
Good shit bro
Dm I also have onsite
lets go better have a low standard for delta
i heard you can tell immediately with the hm wheter you're going to get it
but do they just determine base of previous rounds
seems like hm is just a formality
like my friend had her hm, said the hm was just uninterested
Bro onsite is not a final
heard the same for others
brotha september is crazy work
they’re backlogged af
mine was scheduled for two wees out from when i got the email
2 wks from now is basically September
true
Their onsite is just yappington though I don’t think you need to cram LC or some shit
iirc
yea but seems a bit business oriented
yea decomp is system design but simpler
no need to go into crazy details but if you want to impress would be nice to know them
It would be like can you design this system to help out x position do their job faster
it's very open ended but they push you in the right direction
and its never the whole system they want it would be like a specifc feature, at least from what i've heard
not quite I feel like most of it isn’t what gets typically asked in a sysdes interview
it’s very much problem solving with a vague world problem it’s kinda fun
good luck!
very hard to prep for imo
When’s ur onsite?
How do u know this
Wdym by u just know immeadiately
you can tell if the hm is interested or not
Is the decomp more like object oriented system design?
i couldnt tell at all lol
^
oh I see. Im trying to study for it but idk how to
r u fdse
theyre non delta i think
yeah i mean it's really hard to
like you really need to know the fundamentals of everything and how to talk thru a problem
Is there still coding involved though? Or is it more just talking out ideas and writing pseudocode
depends on intervewer
one of them was 0 code one of them had sudocode + design
are you fdse kani
yas my process was for fdse
us gov or commerical
but i also heard similar for swe friends 🤷♂️
im also stressing idk if im studying too much into detail or not studying enough
again it's very hard to prep
Do ya'll think Grokking the Object Oriented Design Interview is an ok way to study?
not even like basic sys design
Oop ok
read thru it didnt help
yah for me at least 0 help
isn't like 15 of it behaviroal too
oh yea totally forgot lol
💀
cant design no system to a problem thats not even figured out yet lol
just go do some mocks with a pm friend or something
do you do like a softare solution or did they want you to city plan 💀
🤷♂️
depends on interviewer
