^^
yeah true. but thing is i got some decent exp at my latest coop (terraform/vmware, jenkins, golang, bash, and docker) and i wanna highlight them all
should i try to combine points then?
yeah
I feel like u can remove ur 4th or 5th bullet point and merge it with another
It’s pretty fun. I’m interested in low level stuff tho so I’m trying to do that
Not that interested in embedded more like systems programming. But I don’t have enough exp for anyone to want me
Wbu
It’s been alright, can be pretty slow sometimes but idm
what work are u doing?
Rn implementing doxygen into our CI/CD pipeline
Terraform stuff
And some automation
Pretty chill but feel like I haven’t done much in my 4 months here
how would u go about doing that
seems like a mouthful if i try to combine them
Not rlly sure tbh
Yeah u should try to use 100% of a line or 200%
Looks more appealing
change all ur job titles to software engineering intern
And if u really want do like software engineering intern (firmware)
etc
even the qa position?
maybe not that one
latest internship is more devops stuff tho isnt it
i mean dev. ops is swe
@drifting root @worthy mural @latent lake what are we thinking gentlemen
(skills and education should be swapped i forgor)
add sum courses n shiet
concepts sec too
ur first exp is still way too bloated
like no one gonna read allat
yeah i was thinking so
should i cut down to 1 liners?
or split to 5 points or what
imo for a res it should be 3-4 one liners or 2-3 two liners max
these mfs r sifting thru hundres of apps if they cant get the idea from a glance at the first bulletpoint its already kinda chalked
dont put technical ass info in ur first bullet either
put urself in the mind of a recruiter
u dont need to spam keywords in ur points
j throw allat in a concepts section at the bottom
focus on making shit acc readable
ur gmi tho
Looks good
Would add relevant courses too just to fill up a bit of space in education ^^
how could i make it less bloated?
second point is quite bloated but not sure how to split it up
otherwise i'd have 5 bullet points
id chill with the names
think abt it the first mf to read this is gonna be a recruiter
they dont know what any of ts means
make it straightforward
and if an engineer wants to know what u used, they will j ask
Jessica with comms degree from bama is gonna get a headache from reading this
thats my opinion tho some people fw the technical jargon slop style resume
add a concepts section in skills tab and spam all the keywords there
keep the points actually readable
i mention all these keyword in the "tools/technologies" tab
so ill just leave them there
and remove them from the points
thanks
kk
this should be like an ATS catchall
Like u wanna hit maxx skill matching score for every job descript here
ill send u an example of one of mine one sec
so first point is like general overview that any human can understand, engineer or not
second and third are a bit more technical and descriptive but still no need to namedrop every framework/api/tool etc
ur roles r more technical than mine so its going to be more jargony which is fine

but yea I think simpler is usually better and u can go into all the detail when actally speaking to an engineer
got it
arya put me on to this btw but I have noticed better results like this
i used to write ode info and was getting perma ghosted
slimmed it down and response rate went up
👍
do u u have a concepts section as well?
to just spam keywords
im just concerned that if i dont mention all relevant tools/technologies then they wouldnt think i used them? idk
what do you think
do i need to apply the same thing to my other exps?
kk ty
anything specifically that can be better
also why is ur pfp christmas chick yo
wrong time
+1 on everything pogman said
updated resume if anyone else wants to take a look
Looks good
