bro ur a freshman ur chilling
ye but soph now
🤞
You're getting destroyed because you're an international sophomore
Also are you working at two internships simultaneously? That would raise a flag with HR tbh
im doing the same thing. do u think itd be worth it to just put one of the internships for half the summer, and the other one the other half or two separate years if i didnt intern last year?
You don't want to lie either lmao
You'll get background checked at all the companies you received offers from
A common background checking third party is HireRight. Those guys will actually call your employers, and confirm your employment timeline (along with other info). You can omit employment, both in your resume and afterwards when you supply that info to them, but you can't/shouldn't lie
what do u think I should do then cause I don't have a lot of work experience just these two internships so I don't want to take any of them out
do they check your timeline to the exact month?
Well... How do you have two jobs? The answer to that question can really change things
one of them is remote and in a completely different time zone so i work on one of them at night and the other one is during the day in my home country
They check to the exact start/end date, but I think they're not too crazy about it. Accuracy to the month is good enough
but say i put one of them as may-july and the other one from july-aug when they were both actually june-aug?
would that get flagged?
Sounds like something an employment lawyer would be helpful in tbh. I'm not equipped enough to answer. I myself am an international, but I didn't work two jobs like that out of fear of creating complications for myself.
oh ok nah i only did it cus i barely have any work experience i didnt really think about this tho
appreciate the heads up tho
Honest advice, I'd just list the home country internship. It shouldn't cause too much trouble even with the same dates.
Ok so I should leave out the remote US one?
Or just keep both, I have the US one listed as remote tho
Just keep both man
And when it comes down to the offer, you'll have to give a list of prev experience. You can just not supply the home country internship at that stage
Ok, sounds good
same thing as the other dude
