if you have the time to (obvi a big qualifier), i'd try to get a (likely unpaid) internship this summer or join a research project

theres likely some people working on projects/startups at Pluto, although im not familiar with the school

i wouldn't apply normally but really try to tap into the network

if thats not an option, if like a friend/family has a small business, offer to automate their ordering/counting or make a site

if you have the time/work capacity, i'd work on two projects this summer (something that can be put as work experience) and consider joining something early in the school year just to get a head start on the work experience section

it likely wont be that impressive, but would hopefully help with that junior year internship and by then hopefully you've done more related work and will have a strong profile

the thing is coming up with projects isnt something im good at, i cant exactly come up with 2 ideas that will be good enough that they'll take me roughly 2-3 months to make aside from the course project each project took at most a week and a half. But i agree without projects i dont really have much

i am volunteering for a club in my school which involves me doing web dev work although i just got started so i cant really say much yet

Makes sense (altho I think it’s a needed skill). Was more so talking about like research projects or Swe projects or open source projects you could join to learn + use as experiences
