@rotund rover @rare raptor I applied around the end of January I think or whenever the application first dropped. I received the OA invite by February, where neither of questions particularly matched Leetcode. 1 medium DFS, 1 DP, but I honestly forgot the questions themselves (not gatekeeping).

I failed Q2 on the OA with like only 2 test cases passed and 4 months later got invited to finals by my recruiter.

I think it’s possible I passed the screen because I have been randomly emailing her here and there the last month, but maybe not.

For my profile, I’m a state school grad CS MINOR, summa cum laude, 1 previous internship at a big bloated bank. I hope this covered the extent of your questions.

As for what LC questions for the FINAL, @rare raptor , I have yet to take my final so I could not provide them rn.

Update: I took my final yesterday, solved every question presented, and am waiting for the RNG gods.

The interviewers told me MSFT really doesn’t standardize their hiring process and it really varies.

I had 3 rounds, all of which were behavioral and 1-2 leetcodes, with seemingly no expectation to do the 2nd one if the first one took all of our time. I only received the second when I did a question really fast.

But contrary to what you’d expect, no OOD, no System Design, nothing like that. Just questions about my experience, Leetcode, and then you ask the interviewer about anything.

Not even a “why Microsoft?” question.
