Ayt
What's X in Education?
Oh University and Place alright
Web development and frontend development is repetitive, I think frontend says a lot on its own
Since this is on-going, you can move it on top
Hold on a bit, I'm currently split between two task
Will get back to you in a bit
Ok so latest work experience:
Developing a financial news analyzer platform that summarizes.... using [tech].
I want you to emphasis on what you developed and then tech after
This is called the XYZ method
I think you seperate this into two bullet points
Created advertiser - for ads management - using React
Implemented -> Built/Developed
Remove adjective (modern) as it's superfluous, unless you can justify what made it modern (like instead of that you can say the latest practices or upgraded it, etc)
Wait, why do you have so much internships?
I just realized you got like 4 ongoing wtf
Alrighty, if you can, do write how you manage your time with them, because people may look at it and be like, "how did you do this?"
Yup
Bruh
If I saw this on my table, I'll ask for why there is 4 ONGOING internships
that looks super sus
If you got any recent projects put a date, otherwise keep it as such
if they don't realize it's a club
or school
don't call it an internship if it's for a club
unless the club has specifically said it's an internship
cuz if i were a recruiter and i saw like 4 ongoing experiences
i'd be like ???????
It's still 3 x_x like
Do write the time management like you do them at night or morning, flexible, output-based etc
ohh i see, actually that's pretty good
just make it obvious that the last two are for clubs
Ngl 6 internship experiences seems too odd
they can be in a separate section or u can just say they're for clubs
i think the recruiter will have questions how you can have 3 internships and 1 club ongoing at the same time, might be a red flag for commitment. But up to you to keep them all on
I only saw the on-going tbh
Were the two startup internships actually real startups where you got paid?
Same thought, but you know how recruiters are :)
Employed people are super attractive
lmao
also
u want to highlight impact
like how many advertisers
are using ur dashboard
Yup, since you got Firebase, I think you'll see metrics
Imo for internships and if youre still inexperienced being authentic is what matters
I landed an internship at uber and i dont have one tech experience on my resume outside of personal projects
I have the same grad date as you, 2025
yup, was also saying don't put tech immediately, a lot of people write "I'm using this tech to make this" rather than "I made this using this tech"
I know recruiters dont know wtf big ass words are that are tech related
So everything on my resume is made it easy to understand and digestable
ive seen u say this before on this discord
but why
why is the second one better
is there data to back this up?
Trust recruiters know you dont know shit
Its an internship not a job. They dont expect you to be having 6 internships under your belt
i think research internships at school r legit tho
they dont even expect one. They just want to see you got passion for whatever ngl
I mean whatever he has on his resume thats real keep it
But all the cap internships just toss em
In terms of conciseness, you want the non-technical stuff at front, we read from left to right, even when I see tech I dont know, I'll be like "wtf does this do?", so when I read furthur, I see "oh it's for optimizing search or it's a website", so it's better I see what happened then used what tech
If yk they were not software engineering internships, dont list it as so
Thats just my opinion though
My sources is a reddit hahahah, but also this link https://www.inc.com/bill-murphy-jr/google-recruiters-say-these-5-resume-tips-including-x-y-z-formula-will-improve-your-odds-of-getting-hired-at-google.html
Idk but all i see is a junior in college with 6 software engineering internships
I doubt they’re all real
I mean if its real experience list it
But again, 6 software engineering internships in your third year??
Here’s the resume that landed me an internship at Uber
ah cool
this is good
thanks for sharing 🙏
I’ve applied to around 250internships and have gotten responses from around 20+
Everything i put is short and sweet. Experience was lacking so i had to make up for it with personal projects
Added some extracurricular activies that were relevant to my field, and showed i had passion for cs outside of school
No problem, it's not a hard requirement, I just like the format myself & easier to read (especially for tech I dont know), unless the job I'm looking for uses it or need to showcase a particular programming skill, I bump it up so it's a case-to-case basis
But my advice is just for internships though. NG and full time positions, yeah experience carries
But for internships i think everything else also plays a big role
I guarantee you
Not everyone does that
But ay i got an internship with uber so i’m cooling. Good luck w ya resume
Other than that I got nothing to add, goodluck ngmi! Don't off yourself
^^pls dont off urself
If you need to chat you feel free to dm me
Oh this is for this summer?
Yeah youre already cooked
One month till summer
No im being fr summer is in a month
Okay then nvm. But internships for this summer is already cooked
Oh why?
Summer is literally in a month
I'm not in the US so I'm not sure how far before people should be applying to those
Yeah. A year ahead is the best time because if its in rolling basis theirs less competition
So higher chance you get in, compared to if you apply later on
They open those role 1 year early?
Or it's a "open for future opportunity" types of applying
