I think your projects lack creativity and seem very basic in terms of complexity. Consider creating a project that you are passionate about with more depth and originality.
I only got to know about this recently. There’s a difference between having an action verb and having a strong action verb. Heed away from using over used verbs like Leveraged and Utilized
Streamlined, Spearheaded, Implemented, Integrated. You could look into resumeworded and Harvard university’s list of action verbs for resume
in the same boat, prepare for fall and use the summer to create some baller projects that solve a problem and isnt simple!
I really like this resume. Would move tech skills below projects as those serve more as buzzwords for getting passed the auto ATS. Also maybe flesh out a few xtra bullet points in your startup swe intern experience.
The goal is to use at least one number in each bullet point. You got this!
Two things, what if there isn’t quantitative results from your projects, what should I do about that? And two, did you take that picture of your pfp? Because I’ve been to that institute of art in Chicago it’s awesome
I saw that exact picture
Yes from the art institute Chicago! so cool that you know it too
It is definitely time-consuming work to come up with the quantitative bullet points, but each one you have is def a step in the right direction.
If you want, you can provide a summary of the project with the first bullet point in the project.
Looking at your project1 you can give data on the estimated collision detection success/variance; %/# increase for each additional node in the link list;
Project2
Success %;
Total uses / users. (Even if you were the only one to use it, how many times did it get used)
Part of adding numbers is for the ATS and part is for prioritizing clarity.
that is very cool you know it, i could spend all day in that museum it is amazing
so you are saying even if i am the only one to use a program i created (discord bot for example) i should still provide the number of uses? How could i write that out ?
Yes. If you didn’t track, it would be an estimate from the time you created it to today. Did you use it once a week * How many times in one session * How many weeks have passed since you created it
"Converted over XX expressions to postfix notation over the course of X weeks”
awesome, because there is a project I made that has barely any quantitative data so I appreciate that tip
