TC, marital status
when did you apply?
12/20 - recruiter reach out
12/23 - OA completed
12/26 - Interview Email
1/22 - Virtual Onsite
2/2 - Team Match Email
2/28 - Team Matched
3/6 - Offer
FB Groups, Menlo Park
Same as other Meta NG, Single
The day or two after application opened so sometime early November
a week and a half for team match email damn
how many rounds did you do?
I got team matched but then there was a delay in the call system and my recruiter took off 3/2-3/5
Just the two coding and one behavioral
no i mean from final interview to team match confirmation
Oh yeah that took a really long time, was really stressful
Is the tc same regardless of location ?
No idea
Yeah I think so
Congrats
@lilac ether ur experience? Intl ?
I heard seattle is 138 base
Exact number depends on education level and org I believe
But my base was not that high for mpk
Fortune 500 non tech company, 1xFAANG, not international
they dont negotiate right ?
2/4 tagged
Med or hards
1 easy 2 medium 1 hard
bro, how can we do hard in 15-20 mins 💀
From my exp, they simplify it by asking us to assume that some function exists for some elaborative code, making it easier for you to solve the question overall
Asking a lot of clarifying questions can help you break down the problem easily and create an algorithm that works
That is why we have follow ups cuz they then discuss what would happen “if” this was the input and how would you tackle it etc
But yeah sometimes it’s just bad luck and we get an interviewer that isn’t helping/discussing/ or want us to succeed tbh
Just understand the problem and take your time to brainstorm for potentially 5+ min. Once you came up with a good solution in your head, it only takes 5-10 min to write code. Realistically the solutions for their questions are only like 20-30 lines of code, potentially a lot less, so having a good idea of what your solution looks like can help you write it faster
same lol
Thank you
r u quiet during the 5+ min brainstorm or r u speaking?
imagine the brainstorming is like the first part of a neetcode video
No speak out your ideas, talk about how you would solve the problem manually and then how you would implement the code
this
Any questions like why meta etc etc in coding round or they get straight to coding
start date?
Straight into coding
4/8
do they give relocation assistance?
Yes. cause meta offer is: 137k base, 18k sign on, 150k/4 years stock, 10% target bonus
17.5k reloc, 12k E3 refresher, 2k wellness benefit, up to 11.5k 401k match,
Free breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and ammenities in office, free transporation (ex metrocard)
no cliff of stock, larger refreshers with perf multiplier
wat abt like a moving company thing
cuz ik netflix provides like a moving truck to help u
Just rent one?
fwiw the 17.5k relocation stipend can’t be taken in cash completely
only some parts can
how does it get paid out then
once u get offer ull get a document from ur recruiter
it’s a lil complicated
one of the options is to use their relocation provider and they move everything for u
or u can take 5k cash and do it itself
may grad?
Yeah I just got the document and dk how to break it down v confusing
Ahat happens to the other 12.5k
How well did you solve the questions in on-site?
I was able to solve all of them
did u negotiate?
I am currently trying to but idk if they do
They said no negotiations
Yes I accepted for Menlo Park
hye, when did you have your final ?
Oh okay congrats
Damn. When did you have team match round
@lilac ether did you have a system design round?
