recruiter didn’t ask but the word right now is that almost no May 2024 grads are getting matched bc they want to hire Dec 2023 grads or just May 2023 grads who did Meta their ‘22 summer

but may grads are still getting into pipelines, do you think may grads will be hard to match

Recruiter straight up said that E3 headcount is almost non existent and they’ll directly reach out to candidates if teams headcount’s start to open… so the way I’m reading it is that they had more people in the pipeline than open teams and assumed there would be more headcount following q1 2024… 😦

it’s basically what Affirm did, had way to many people in pipeline, shit the sheets so had to make an additional final round, and cut off people who were basically in the very last round (like two weeks) since they filled up

surprised that Meta would make this kind of novel mistake tho, affirm is much smaller

and the number one priority for most managers was start date, so nearly all the teams chose someone who was done with school already over fit

I mean there’s around a (priority) queue of 200+ people in E3 team match so unless you’re a Dec 2023, you’re probably at the end of the line
