Any tips, I think ats is fine based on the resumeworded score, most likely the bullet points and the wording but not too sure how I can change those.
No worries, take your time!
I don't like the black boxes before each section name
saying "candidate" isn't really necessarily
exp/project bullet points look good
"ATS is fine" -- humans are reviewing and reading your resume
Thank you for the advice!
You have the option of putting skills below projects so you can move experience and projects up. It is a possibility to consider
Yeah that is also true, thanks.
@prisma plinth Hey just pinging cause I saw your comment on another resume for a review when you are free. Thanks again!
Ah, thank you for pinging!! I will get to this tonight (:
yo! ty for being patient
Skimming (HR):
- Dope education section 🔥 is "candidate" an important enough identifier that it should be there? (like would it drastically change ur hiring process? if im asking there is a chance HR would too :3)
- Strongly encourage Technical Skills to be at the bottom of the resume. I (HR) do not want to read a list, and Technical Skills section should just be your catch-all for any AI parser keywords you missed (so ideally your Experience/Projects will have the ones you really want to be looked at anyway).
- Love the bolding going on :3 I would italicize the technologies that are in the same line with your project titles just to make the section look less "text wall"y. I love the links in ur projects section!!
Reading (EM/Interviewer): I literally got nothing I think your writing is great, everything is concise and probably better than I would have written them! I only have these nitpicks:
Nitpicks & min-max:
- Education: again I love this section, I might just bite ur format tbh LOL phew
- Technical Skills: I would personally group the items in Content Management System and Other into the Technologies and Tools list, then append "Content Management Systems" to that list. I think it'd both save you space (perhaps u can add one more line somewhere) and fill out the width of the lines in that section.
- Company 1: by golly i have no notes. it's concise, you're clearly bragging to an appropriate degree, i love this!!! my single nitpick would be that depending on where you're applying, I would definitely change "Web Development Intern" to "Software Engineering Intern" (maybe have one SWE resume and one Webdev resume, different by literally this single title.)
- Company 2: Bold the "+" after "15", "100", "2000" if they aren't already.
- PLEASE pls use 90-100% of a line. don't start new lines that stop before 90% filled (Company 1 Bullets 1 2 and 4, Company 2 bullets 3 and 4, all project bullets except project 3)
obligatory, I am just a guy!!! I encourage you to plsplspls challenge this advice and only do what YOU think would be best for your resume. new grad is rough -- I wish you the best of luck!! pls lmk if you have more questions (:
@undone wind
OH OH OH also make sure that your website, linkedin, and github are being parsed correctly. i may be wrong but parsers may not see hyperlinks and just see "website" and "linkedin", etc. you can check with https://resume-parser.vercel.app/
