• i need to get a ta or research pos (i applied, prob will hear back next week after holidays)
• i need another web project that uses networking tech like sockets and grpc, with more impressive tech
• need to replace mnist bc its overdone
• gonna get a new open source dev position with associations to a company (my school has an oss org that i use)

so i can get a somewhat relevant experience to fill in some space, my current one is more like a club/organization extracurricular thing and i cant use it on online job app sections. plus, there's some cool research here with scientific sims that i want

tbh im not someone who knows much about research, so i dont think i have anything useful to tell you lmao. just look around in ur school's labs and faculty and stuff and see if u like anything and email the directors.

I think open source contribution experience is enough to peak interest to give u interview. If u havent getting one after mass applying i would consider better wording for bullets, seems little vague and not clear enough in some bullets

my college has a dedicated oss organization with project matching and stuff, so how i got into it is a bit specific to that. but in general, another way you can get in is by applying to places like google summer of code and other open source programs, most have public discords/slacks u can join to talk to devs. theres also this: https://www.firsttimersonly.com/ , https://opensource.guide/how-to-contribute/

The only thing I'd say (coming from an unemployed person), is that your projects may be too diverse in technologies and that you should add links to github and/or live website if there is one
