Put location for school and experience, use the two line approach
in my experience ATS will usually parse ur resume incorrectly if you don’t include that info
why 2 line project header
Can u bullet and categorize skills? Add more? It should be a general overview of everything you know based on ur experience u listed in ur resume
if u fix it consider moving it under education
oh I see u did add location to experience, I would format it to the right under the date
Change personal side business to freelance?
The job title for ur first experience is a little unusual
Use more varied action words and add action words to every line
For education put ur degree in second line and location under date on the second line
The location of my school is in its name, that’s why I covered it, even though I didn’t cover the location for my side business lol. I also put the location for my experience
This is everything I know, I am specializing for analytics positions and I know those languages and softwares and most positions are looking for those languages and don’t really include much more than these
That’s the name of the project I worked on for the company, we were originally told it was going to be recognized as an internship but they changed their mind, I tell this in detail in the description of the post.
I will do that
I was thinking that, but a couple of people in the field I talked to say that if you have relaxant experience put that first as that’s what recruiters are mainly looking for and don’t really take much time looking at your resume and I had skills on before them before and had less responses
🤷 I see skills as an overview of what you know so they can cross off the qualifications on the listing
ig but it helps to format it more consistently
Yeah I see it as that too, most job descriptions for analytics are asking for excel, sql, python and/or R, and either power Bi or tableau. So I cant really expand on them unless I put the libraries I know which I feel would just be adding unnecessary filler, as if I list Python they are assuming I know pandas, which I do and would just be a waste of time
I could see that
Thank you for you tips man
what is the two line approach
I have the project like this, so o can list the languages I used and put the GitHub link. I can’t put my GitHub on there as some of the project I worked on are with groups and they made the GitHub, so it would not show up in my profile, I just linked it.
you could just copy and paste it to your own github profile
Degree under school name location under date
maybe it would help put keywords in ur resume. Regardless, I think having ur skills at the top will say what you know then you expand on them in ur experience, projects, etc.
Oh I don’t have my college like that, I have my degree on the same line, I just put bullets to list my concentration, minor and relavant coursework
yea I was saying if u want to fit location in there u can do that approach
I would, but I don’t want someone to get the idea that I just copied a project I had no parts in, so I just feel more comfortable linking to the original github so that way they won’t get that assumption
