1x kinda big tech?
1x big tech
Wow, congrats!
Are you a Math major? Curious what your technical background is that helped with acing these interviews.
i think i have around 125 solved overall, but maybe only did 30 this year. lc is not my specialty LOL
im a cs major :d ngl i think i got lucky this year but like just reviewing problems + learning pattern recognition for solving lc is pretty useful
Pmo to the pattern recog methods?
tbh i think seeming like a kind person to work with during ur interviews goes a long way
but some other things i keep in mind during interviews:
- fully explaining your solution before starting to code; also giving a quick recap of what ur gonna code if u kinda go over the solution but ask questions in between or discuss other solutions while explaining
- bring up different potential solutions and discuss/reason about them with the interviewer
- prioritizing clean/correct code over run time (for js specifically). ie. use helper functions to get rid of duplicate code, name your vars/functions well (this part also applies outside of js)
- being able to explain what ur coding; i think i do this bc i hate the silence lmao, but if u do this, like be able to explain clearly and sound coherent (just takes practice, practice with friends or vod review urself!!)
- checking in with the interviewer after ur done like just mention "oh does this look good to u" and then actually testing ur code
- ^^ also like when u give them an idea, just simply asking "oh does that sound reasonable to u" before u acc start coding
- smile :))
- okay i think im just stupid, but try to write down questions u've gotten in interviews before, i realized i had nothing from last recruiting season written down lmao
bro can i dm?
btw do u have to be in a coop program to take off-szn
(i lowkey burnt bridge at my uni's coop office 🤡

LOL, im from bc
ubc?
yeah
honestly just takes practice ;_; no secret to it, just like know ur dsa well. i think heap/map problems are the most common so when i get a question i kinda just run thru whether those would be a viable ds to use
noice
Word glooks bro grats on the offers
