Bump
I'd probably go with default font with jake's tempalte, it gave me a much higher response rate, since even ifit apsses ats, recuriters onyl gonna look at it for a few seconds so they priobably wouldn't want to squit to look at the blocky font
Otherwise I'd probably add a section like leadership, I put my awards & clubs I was a aprt of
I was wonder what uni you go to
do you have to go to York for the. machine learning research assissant position?
same
I see, cause I thought it's pretty inflated
Yeah York
How about bullet points (projects, experience)?
I think your bullet points are good, but I think the fact that you over fill onto the next page in the font shows you have too much stuff, I decided to get rid of a few bulletpoints, and have 23 total, and for some reason it's getting better ats response rate
Like it actually helped me land my currnet offer
I see, thank you so much!
less is more, they average 7 seconds per reume, only include your best.
It's great that you have metrics, but some metrics don't mean much. For example, Implemented Spring Boot to create over 10 back-end API endpoints
Why would any recruiters even care about this? You could implement 1 million endpoints but if it doesn't help the business, then it means nothing
On that same line, you mentioned improving system performance and response times. This is honestly the one that you should elaborate (instead of the one above). What kind of performance? Latency? Throughput? By how much? Same for the response times
hmmmm okay, I'll take a look at those
how about the resume overall, does it make an impact on you at first sight
I guess it's fine, but yeah unfortunately I don't know if you can stand out with this lol it's pretty much the same full-stack/backend/frontend resume that everybody else has
It's gonna be a numbers game
@livid cape I would listen to @proven lichen he's one of the most cracked people in this server to the point that managers create job requisitions out of thin air just to hire him

are u looking for internships or jobs?
Internships are jobs by definition tho...

internships
what do u think abt my resume
it's well written but it's mid, hopefully you find a higher quality internship, ideally real SWE
- if you're in honours then include your GPA bro wtf
- try and finesse your bullet points to look like SWE, emphasise dev things and bold programming languages used
- split up tools and frameworks in skills, and put skills after education
- it's kinda funny that your projects are bigger than your work exp, it is what it is tho
you need to grind career fairs and any in person events, cuz cold applying is gonna be a bad time, but still do that
Damn this guy calling people mid bcs he is ex Jane Street, Two Sigma, HRT, Citadel, Netflix, Google, Microsoft
you mf

not all of us have two pages of internships like you
ðŸ˜
LLLMMAAAAOOOOOOO
Bruh should I move projects to the top then?
nah just make your exp sound better
no, ur layout is good and good resume.
in this market i wouldnt be hopeful to find a job or internship, maybe in the next year youll land one if u keep applying everyday
people with years of experience are taking a year and more to find a job
its not you its the market
i wouldnt stress too much over tough time finding interviews
