Agree to disagree, I’ve heard from recruiters to order education first for internships because they want to first make sure your grad date aligns with what they’re looking for

#

Skills is mostly just a checkbox for keywords so it goes at bottom

Yeah man I get it, I have friends who did no LC 2 years ago and make 400k+, nowadays it’s hard to get any job at all even with really strong technical skills

#

Don’t lose hope, just keep grinding and it’ll all work out

#

Also network. I can’t stress enough how much networking helps out.

Attend events, meet CS alumni at your school, etc.

1 of my buddies works at HFT, but surprisingly it’s my friends at other companies (LinkedIn and Waymo) that make more than quant

For the near term I would suggest just take the offer you have. For the long term, fully digest whatever advices you are learning from people in this chat and you will be well positioned for the future
