Pog you too!
Would you take nflix over LinkedIn
no
no way you not taking netflix over linkedin
are you being ironic or
wait i feel like netflix >> linkedin
i'll still go thru whole process in hopes of being pipelined into new grad just for landing internship offer but assuming i have a new grad offer from netflix vs RO new grad linkedin, i'm not gonna renege tbh

understandable
my answer would change if there were more solid data points on new grad salary of netflix. i'm not too confident that new grad salary is much higher to warrant renege
Netflix is 220k all cash
what’s more important is that the salary from netflix is all cash
LinkedIn is 230k tc if you’re systems infra
I interned w a guy at LinkedIn who went to Netflix right after
He chose LinkedIn ng over Netflix ng
Same pay better wlb better benefits
these are close enough companies id pick based on team
yea i agree
this is exactly my rationale
exactly this as well
i will be systems infra and/or ai
honestly not substantially higher enough for me to warrant a renege and sacrifice the potentially better wlb and better benefits.
ofc some li teams may not have that ideal wlb as before but ,even assuming i get the best ideal teams for both i'll still go linkedin
yeah fs
netflix would have to top by at least 50k+ for me to consider that "sports team" environment 💀
this is not me shitting on netflix btw. this is just me being happy with what i have currently. by all means i would be gawking over netflix in any other circumstance (i still kinda am rn)
Is this with the relocation that has limited use? Or is that just cash lol
relo
but still expensing up to 40k for relocation assistance counts its total comp still p good
Yeah it's still great
Do you know if anybody can get up to 40k or it depends how far you live from the office?
probably anybody
Can you elaborate on this? Curious
The sports team part
Culture wise
there’s a playlist and documentstion o bthis
whol up
someone correct me if this notion is wrong, but essentially "if an employee's manager isn't advocating/dying to keep them on the team, then they're not performing to the level netflix is seeking"
very interesting perspective on hiring/retention
idk if that's supposed to be interpreted as more difficult than amazon's.
tbh netflix's imo implies that is is possible for a whole team to be above/at expectations whereas stack ranking at amazon is ofc relative so
That seems rather harsh
Cause I mean let’s say someone is having an off couple of days (maybe due to mental health or something). What then?
i doubt its that bad lol like they wont fire you for an off week
not thaaaat that harsh nah
general consensus is probably just to keep up
Oh yeah that’s fine
Btw on a completely unrelated note, how were your Microsoft interviews?
Have them coming up soon and want to get as many perspectives as possible
