It’s thrive prob
I’m Juanx68737
Research + Amazon internship
do u need a high average to do research?
Anyone can do research, just need to find the right lab at ur school
unless u go to a competitive school then ur fucked if ur tryna do ur first research exp
Wait nah that’s not true
I disagree
Anyone at my “competitive” school can get research
^
that’s cuz there’s like 5k people there total 💀 and some of the highest research activity in the world
we got 5k cs students alone here lmao
plus ece
I go to UF with like 60k peopel in my school and most people here are CS. And I know lots of people who got research easily
You just need to know how got find the right lab
Lol what
This is completely false
You just have to find the right people and have the right connections. Ask around and actually interact with your professors, that's how I found research opportunities and projects of interest for my Masters
Mind if I ask what kind of resarch you do?
masters
lol
I got research as a college freshman then again as a sophomore then I started to make connections afterwards.
Anyone can do it , you just need to know how to put urself out there
I got hella research as a high school junior by cold emailing
You just gotta be good at outreach
bruh what
where
i hit up like 30 labs/profs so far over the past 3 sems and got nothing
How are your emails like? Cuz the format and what you say can break or make it
Or just go up and ask them if they are local to your school/you have classes with them
If you go to a research uni
yeah i do that too lol
they tell me to take their upper div class or apply on their lab website
interesting. Also what's your grade level? Cause if you're a freshman/sophomore....then this makes sense
Especially if you're a freshman
sophomore
That might be a part of it honestly
I got my freshman year and so did many of my friends that I helped
Hmmmm, however I'd imagine you didn't really get to delve deeper into the topics until later on
Idk that's just my experience
Nah, most of them published/about to publish a paper with credit as a freshman or sophomore
Rn I’m working on a. Project and hopefully get it published this school year
Oh nice nice
@tepid hatch just keep looking and you’ll find a place.
