#Anyone who got Palantir offer how well

i did decent, back then, i got it for 2022
it was like a parallel threads question
so that im not blocking on the main thread as i wait for requests to get resolved
someone asked me something similar this what i responded
some sort of respository package threads thing
Oh I didn’t have that one
@fading sphinx how many parts did u get through?
i think the objective to just see more ur thought process tho
what parts LMAO
i also barely got through 3 lol
he just showed me code, said there was a bug, asked me to find and fix
like they present the topic, then they ask questions about it, then they have u code stuff
yea
yea same
like idk what u mean by oatts
yeah this is accurate - i think they showed me code, they said there is a bug or an optimization > i asked about it > kept asking > figured out the issue > then optimize from there
Parts
all u can do
i aced decomp but i think i bombed learning idk if thats enough to get to hm
i think they value learning more
idk how I did on decomp
what is decomp lol
I just rambled on about random user features
like system design
and he was like ok let’s focus on this part
oh ya i just studied sys design and just talked about api's, database schema, etc
Like he wanted to get more technical
Yea
But the workshop didn’t say anything about that
all i remember was:
leetcode
talking about projects / how would i build stuff for i think it was like a class + how to sign up for classes + professors etc.
the random parallel optimization
Manager talk was:
building some sort of system for farmers and crop diseases and how would i go about it
ohhh
lol
decomp is that interestnig
xD
Like r ppl just good at this stuff or what
yea
i feel it not too hard, as long u dont need to do throughput
at least maybe depends how u approached it
i just think learning is the most important cuz u can redo decomp
i just talked a bit about db schema, how id pull something to the backend, how id enforce the schemas
like it was basically just db schemas and taking in the data on the backend
Does hm have to have a technical portion?
since frontend is just whatever lol
not for me? it was just projects, tell me about u, and more like how would u build this high level / go about it > what to watch out for > etc.
yeah can have either coding q or decomp again
or just straight behavioral
depends how well u did in onsite
That’s decomp
I don’t want to do another coding or decomp
decomp was pretty fun hhh, i wish everything was decomp
i hate responding to a find the bug question - it just u know it or u dont
yeah i actually enjoyed decomp
i just didnt like learning cuz it was too fast like he expected me to make progress after barely just looking at the code
Did u get it in the end?
the learning part?
yeah i got it but i needed hints
idk if thats good
i know there were more parts so idk, im prolly reject 😢
no test cases he just said it was good
but yeah on the top of the page there were two more locked q's
so i assumed there were more parts
@warm yew idk how ur supposed to rate “how well”
but i think i did well for everything lol
i got a turn around prob within a week
@warm yew did u get decomp or coding q on hm? I was told i have coding for hm and wanted to know the lc difficulty of it, if u had that part.
ya somehow did u hear back @fading sphinx ?
oh interesting u should prolly hear back tmw then
they usually reject within the same day so it might be good u havent heard back yet
oh rly
ya gl
oh rly? i just heard a lot of people get reject on same day but i guess idk then
