.
plz tell me u caught the error earlier
p bad
don't some companies auto reject off grad date 💀
bruhhhhh
yeah
yeah typos also show lack of attention to detail
grad date is one of most important filters
wait
i uh
i think i applied to like
60
with this resume
like
all my apps
.
time to reapply
ok well gg
if you have zero callbacks you should apply to more than 60
you also have good exp i'd cold email recruiters
there is a ton on linkedin if you search software intern or whatever
you can also filter by time posted
i have amazon return so i was only applying to better or similar
Also check Linkedin by time psoted yesss
oh ur chilling
naw
contrary to what these people are saying, i don't think this really matters; most companies have a field where you enter the grad date seperately and they use that to auto reject
i want more options so i can choose my location
if ur only applying to better or similar u have more time to research companies you want to work for
legit just check when their internships open up
ur prob not getting auto-rejected yeah but it is a red flag
im in the same position with you, i agree with applying to only 60, im doing the same thing
but you should have more than 0 callbacks with Twitter + Amazon
no callbacks too?
i can dm in a sec
kk
for your resume though
maybe put a few more bullets
i would recommend elaborating in your bullets more
o i was told 1 line per bullet
and include tech stack/tech used to accomplish xyz in every bullet
less is more
ill send you my resume as example
okok
the thing is
yess this was what I was going to tell u
keywords?
strongly agree w/ this
when the recruiter looks at ur resume often they want to know your tech stack right
if you just have bullets on what business goals were achieved
and not the tech used
they dont really know what ur stack is
i included some tho
liek for twitter i mentioned backend
and Scala
for amazon i mentioned python, AWS ETL, and javascript
on the other hand, if they see "oh this person used react heavily to do blah blah blah, they could be a good fit for this role"
yea lemme look again
maybe for the first twitter bullet
instead of "policy microservices" -> "Scala microservices"
like u worked at Twitter and AWS, that's amazing and that should be your highlight rather than most of the resume being other things
imo (take others opinion too)
so i would suggest def adding more bullets/being more specific
"Eliminated bug by ... resolving bug" is also not good
maybe we can restructure this
Idr like blue titles tbh
its distracting
but i am jobless
so take everything i say
with massive grain of salt
in fact
im just not gonna say anything
lmaoo
"Eliminated bug with external codebase preventing beta projects from connecting to prod" is already better imo
than using bug twice
do u want me to send u my anon resume
o
yes
that would be helpful
which callbacks did u get btw
you don’t have your grad date listed
could be auto reject
ah I see everyone responded at once lol
Is twitter even hiring interns anymore?
No
