i see a fellow freshman with IT school team and research over the summer
i would definitely try and quantify your work a little more
bro goes to Caltech goddman
i think fellow is for when you do research at another school iirc
Caltech 🤤
i can see the EE + CS showing
i would put the relevant course under education to save space since headers are ginormous and then you could add another bullet to CRATER
Yea you have some empty space bottom. Relevant courses should do it
Bro i deadass didnt do much
Idk how i got in đź’€
Good idea
And quantifying would putting the number of contracts i wrote for my research be a good idea?
Plus like for my project would lines of code be a good one to put
my friend did a similar thing, like quantified the amount of graphs they did
it feels weak but it’s hard quantifying research
That makes sense
i still need to do that for mine
i heard it’s too generic, i would try and have a more specific statistic
hmm it’s tricky
usually you’d want the stat to show some sort of impact on the world / others
but quantifying work (levels / lines of code / graphs) is also a route you could take if that’s not an option
gotcha gotcha
maybe if you remember some improvement you made along the timeline of the project, optimizing the terrain generation or ui experience, that could be quantifiable
Oh true
Do it btw ive heard it helps with like standing out? idk
also W fellow research
yeah i heard that and it gives the interviewer like talking points so it’s not bland and more likely to flow and stuff
Exactly
Anything else i should add? am i unhireable?
top tech companies might be hard especially in this job market as incoming sophomore unless you have cracked projects like @austere apex
take sophomore summer to get experience preferably internship and aim for Junior summer for a huge one
For sure, i just want anything haha
i think ur resume is great!
i would suggest maybe add some numbers to your exp
some of your bullet point is hanging in a line (1st bullet point of 1st exp), i would suggest to cut down 1-2 words to fit those into 1 or 2 lines
for the format, maybe put “present” in the date of your 1st project, also remove the “.” in the date of your IT exp, just for consistency
otherwise it’s solid! gluck w your internship search🫡
Hey thanks!
