If you have more projects write more abt URA positions and remove the other two. Then add one or two more projects if you have space.
also if any EM sees that open source contribution point — yeah that’s not what open source contributing entails
unless you actually contributed to those courses rather than simply taking them
those were fluff
i just did grunt work
i did

i fixed mistakes in the material
cause it's all fluff
guess i should phrase it to say "Fixed typo and update course material"
pretty much can't expand it further that's how little i did lol
alright
more bullets on exp
if u need space take out tutor
others have already said to move exp above
i mean
u can pull them out ur ass if u rly need
just rough estimates
like ur research paper
pull some bs just when u explain it don't make it sound like bs
i have 5 users for my chrome extension but i didnt advertise it
change it and say 50 or something
xyz %
optimize xyz using xyz to do xyz
or smth
like u research paper ur writing , what r u researching ?
whats teh goal of it
u can prob pull a stat at of that
esp if the research brought back numbers
even if its in progress
u don't have to limit urself to one line bullets
i did grunt work and idek if it's published yet
also do what scale said
It's fine just put it imo
okay
experience should be on top always
anyway do you guys think i have a fighting chance lol
And try ti add more bullets to projects
yeah its not bad
good to know
Unless u have no tech exp and u hage projects
only real boost would be more relevant experience but u cant change that
i have only been rejected so far don't even have an interview
i have no tech experience
Add more bullet points for your experience, like what is the data collection you did for your RA position? Do you have any relevant coursework that could have keywords like data structures, database systems etc
im taking dsa this sem
If ur doing reaearch and stuff that's cs related then that's fine
im putting dsa into my relevant coursework
esp lack of numbers of concrete details on anything meaningful in ur projects those need to be fixed
You’re graduating ‘25?
I'm saying if someone only had like retail work and had projects it's better to put projects ontop
well i can
would it b graduating early
yes
if so theres prob no reason to int urself by forcing urself to get ro internship in current market
theres genuinely no reason
graduating early is cool and all but unless youre doing it specifically to avoid cost of college
which is valid
ur trolling urself
if u extend it to 2026 u have more sems for internships or coops fellowships whatever
op probably doing it for jr status

no reason to
just take more semesters of internships
if ur just putting it on there cus u can graduate early but dont plan to
that might be chill
yea but why can't they just put 26 again next recruiting cycle
yea exactly
Is that ur intention @verbal pelican
bc it's mine 💀
if thats ur intention its good
probably yea
im gonna see how it goes
lowkey want to grad in 3 years but if i need to I'll do 4 years
unless u have rly bad financial pressure i wouldnt recommend it
course registration + unexpected circumstances like travel/emergencies is a somewhat safe one but when u get to that road u can think ab it then
its kinda an unknown concept to cscd but having an actual college experience at an natural rate is actual valuable to develop as a human outside of just getting a job and working till ur 60 then afking on a beach in cuba
yeah unexpected circumstances is a good cop out
back 2 the topic of resume tho
i think its strnog
strong
just expand on experience
your projects r fairly strong
nice
esp campus exchange
it's a tutorial project but im making it out to be something original lmao
u could replace etch a sketch but its rly not necessary i think only if ur rly min maxing
Nit pick but I'd change ur additional info tab to technical skills
^^
Then have language/libraries then tools/frameworks
u could also split frameworks/libraries and languages but thats also a nitpick
alright ill
this guy gets me
Can really key word dump there without being dumb
also i think
me and elixir on same wavelength lmaoo
u should try to find some project thats like
mm
not so crud
u could do smth ai ml with tensorflow
if ur up to it
theres rly not much more u can do but expand on projects atm
if u dont get an internship
preferably id like to do something non crud
but idk anything else besides crud and c++ and python
and i thought crud projects make it easier to get a job
get nvidia on ur dick
big thing tho imo is u have work experience section but each thing is only one bullet. In the eyes of someone reading it, it just looks really bland and nothing rlly there because it's empty so naturally the value of it is less than it actually is
yeah u can + should expand on the nature of the topics u were writing on
why they were relevant
include any data (percentages mostly)
stuff like
here
ill pull one out of my rez
alright ill
• Automated the collection and storage of political alignment information from excel sheet into official databases
utilizing Python, resulting in a decreased sort time by 75%
not even an impressive point
If u can't think of anything to write then try to milk it as much as possible to get 2-3 bullets at least
but percentage makes it come across more tangible meaningful better for ats and easier to detect relevancy by a quick recruiter scan
also
ur open source stuff
u contrinbuted to odin project ?
if u contributed to a repo u should lin kit prob
u can link ur commit
they wont even look at it or care but just 2 cover ur bbases + show it exists and happened
yea i just update exercise solutions
for full stack open i update broken links and fixed some environment set up issue
also good to hear since im actually don't know whether they're good or not considering they're technically pretty simple crud projects
someone who learns web dev for a month or two can probably make the same type of project as me
