its over ๐
joking, but a little touching up
like for one, tech section. i dont need a paragraph on what you think you are experienced in. like for example, someone says they are highly skilled in java. but if i ask a question like whats an optional, and they dont know it, thats to me is a red flag.
look at some other resumes posted here and get take inspiration for that section
also your most recent work exp, is over shadowing alot of the other exp you have
if i were to take a 8-10 second glance i would think you only had 1 exp
thanks for the advice, I'm not really sure what to do about the work experience one
take your best features
also why the hell are yall restricting chatgpt?
i use it like google
nah we're using azure open ai services
(not for actual code tho)
ahh, im glancing but thats cool af
yea nah I appreciate the advice, i was just given a lot more stuff to do in this internship versus literally everything else haha
for your most recent exp, take your BEST points and add that
I'll try to remove some stuff
cause imo, its a little too long
but would it make any difference
and update the others
if I also worked last fall
at that company, so the experience was split among those terms
no, you have exp thats recent
like a year over recent
not really a year, more 6 months
but you get my point
you have 3 INTERNSHIPS, you will be fine.
got it got it, and would you say I should just remove one of the internships and replace it with aproject or smth?
I feel like I might be getting fucked by ATS
alright bet, would it be cool if I updated it and sent the resume back in here?
yeah
o7
I feel like the first work exp has too many points
My school's guideline is no more than 3-4 points per section
@fading sand I changed a couple of sections and I switched the order, I also removed some stuff from the most recent internship; hopefully it looks a little better
got it
Nice that looks better
top experience might still be a little long, but I feel like the distribution of bullet points is a little better
Also I feel like it would be neater if relevant courses went along with education
Cause the ed section also looks empty
this
interesting
THIS IS PEEK
I'll send a version with it like that
if you have a github and the project is on github, replace it with the date on your project.(personal preference tho, but you can keep it like this if you like it better)
actually, I'm thinking about switching the project with something else, I'll put that on github, and not sure what I'll do for the resume, but I might stick with just the date tbh
lowkey, I think I like the relevant courses where it is, cuz otherwise the bottom part looks too empty haha
thank you guys for all the help
add both
fill some of that white space at the bottom
I could but the thing is, I'll only be able to put like one bullet point for the other project
but overall this looks good
feel like that would be lackluster
thank you
oh wait
tools section
remove the ides part, specify what version of aws and azure you know (unless its a top secret version you arent allowed to talk about much.), and seperate languages from frameworks/libs
and relevant courses go under education
almost missed that
oh shit wait so I shouldn't have relevant courses down there?
nope
damn @indigo plaza my fault you were right
usually they go under education
will split this
maybe add some margin after 2025
bulleting it would help
if you can
yeah this actually
that's what my resume looks like
ex:
btw when you say what version of AWS, Azure, what do you mean? My main point was just to mention that I can work with cloud services
AWS and AZURE are not specified because they are private versions im not allowed to talk about
but are similar to ec2 and lambda
I see I see, so you're saying the specific services within Azure and AWS?
so like if I use lambda, or blob storage, or cloudwatch or smth like that
like aws lambda, azure something (i cant think of a name rn) wtc
yes
right right, so the specific tools gotcha gotcha
can be specified like this
ex:
AWS(lambda, s3 buckets, something), Azure (something, container thing that i forget the name of)
or
AWS lambda, AWS s3 buckets, AWS something , Azure something, Azure container thing that i forget the name of
I will do that, alright I'm gonna go finish my internship work for the day, I will send a hopefully final version later today
yeah
thank you again for the help
same and your welcome
o7
Alright fixed the skills section and moved relevant coursework to the top; does this look alright? @fading sand @indigo plaza
find a way to add those languages to your bullet points instead of at the end in a ()
but other than that looks good
yeah that looks p good. atb ๐
