u think i should use a language / stack or just keep revolving arond python
i dont rly have any ideas for wat ot make or add so id prob just pick a stack n make smth with it
u should probably use another language/stack
but also if u have other experiences such as jobs u should probably put that to fill up space
yup
okay will keep that in mind
don't put random jobs
add more projects like he said
stop taking this shit for a joke it's a competition
you have 0 internships
get back to the labratory
put a link to your research somewhere in the description
o7 yessir
like research at the internships I did or like personal research?
Pray UW rep is powerful enough, non-generic killer side projects
wanted to ask u same question do u think I should do my next projects in different stack or focus on being roy good at one
Rly*
hopefully uw rep carries me ty
been kinda struggling for wat to do for side projects so I just work on stuff tht helps my dad in his worm
Work
the only way you will overcome this is passion and drive
i'm sorry but projects need to be visual, and if it's not visual it has to be crazy
you gotta vibe out about something
make some insanely cool thing you are hyped about that you thought you couldn't make before
visual projects usually require the use of a front end language/library like Django for python if you want to stick to Python. But diversifying alittle can only help
ur right af
kk got it
would it b fine if i did something more related to my interests that utilized more skills n such?
yes
ie like smth for a video game that would access the riot api or smth
what are your interests?
mostly video games n fashion stuff
also longboarding but i think the most applicable of those is prob
- tapping into game company apis and creating smth centered around them
if you want to go crazy do something golf related, I guaruntee you it's over if you do that
your HMs are all old
I think you shoul make something unique and creative tbh i feel like gamer stuff has a bad stigma with it
wats hm?
hiring manager
alright ill keep this in mind
ah okay
makes sense
how are you at coding interviews?
I did a league of legends one but it was very immersive and used like 10 diff technologies and it had a deep meaning, other than that prob stay away from games
p bad since i havent completed DSA @ uw yet, most of my time is spent either learning DSA myself and doing neetcode 150 or trying to create a project
i bombed blackrock c1 oas
how much more time do you have?
1 more year?
before you graduate?
oh ur chilling
ok ur not behind at all
you really should make a ton of projects then land an internship and convert to return offer if you can
I learned DSA after my DSA class, I just slept through the course
well im 2yrs into college btu i swapped my major so i wont b done by natural grad date but im fine w spending another yr in college
and dont wait until DSA to start
okay bet self teach is fine then
You can finish DSA and still suck at conding interviews
i wanna try to be good at them within the next month so i can do well on msft stuff cus i live in seattle area
you just need to brush up on: BFS, DFS, Dijkstra, DP, Hash Table and use Python
ya i alr mostly use python
dont forget linked lists
so far ik
linked lists
stack queue
thats it
but i can learn more online easily
Yeah I would recommend reading the relevant chapters in a textbook first, then just jumping in the main thing is not being afraid to start
im following this
tbh just start
Thers only a few core things on that that will actually come up
it looks much harder than it actually is
Also a lot fo the advanced algos courses are about dealing with problems which aren't in P so you really should just start leetcode as soon as possible
