i put that just in case

#

i'll have to check but they're not very impressive

#

i have school's HW but they're done in less than a week

#

yea guess i should rename it 'Multiple Smaller Projects'

#

good idea pointing this out. i assumed people know i'm talking about my portfolio with projects in it

#

the projects are small in scale i can't find two bullet points each for them

#

basically exercise projects from my web dev courses lol

#

oh nice

#

thanks for the images

#

hmm alright

#

i'm gonna figure out how to make them two bullet points each

#

thanks for the advice. appreciate it prayge

#

oh you're right looking back it is redundant

#

i think point 3 and point 5 could be rewritten to explain how it works. "configured blocked shadow DOM to be able to temporarily unblock website, Podomoro timer to block and unblock websites at set time intervals, and website analytics system to track time spent on each and all websites daily and weekly."

I would expand more (add more bullet points) on your research experiences

#

the part about my research exp is prob the best i could do lmao. idk what went wrong but for during my research, the labs im in just let me do grunt work/nothing substantial

chilly ember
#

In that case i would add another project

cold skiff
#

alright but i dont really have another project to put on

#

i can continue to make more project but im not sure if what i should do right now considering im only able to do LC easies atm

But at the end of the day, you can grind leetcode and projects as much as you want, but that's not what's gonna get your foot in the door. Reaching out and networking is what will help more than anything. I would leverage linkedin if i were you.

idk how to reach out but that's prob googleable

Have a chat with @odd oar and what he's been able to do. He's been connecting and chatting with people on linkedin a tone, and has managed to get several responses and interviews, all while being in high school. work smarter not harder

All you have to do is find some companies and startups that you would be interested working for. Go on linkedin see the employees that work there, connect and message with hr,recruiters, devs, execs and ask how to get an interview while sending a short message to sell yourself. Worst case they don't answer or simply refer you to someone they know that could help you out, or they will reach out to people within their network etc etc...

#

the key here is soft skills.

#

but that's what gets you noticed, while building your network. people out here spamming thousands of applications thinking they will get noticed...lol

#

what i'm trying to say is even if you don't get an interview the person will be more than happy to help out give tips and advice and even connect you with other people or oppotunities that they think will help you. The power of networking is undefeated. If you allocate more time spamming cvs than reaching out to real people, you will have a much harder time

not very impressive to detail what i actually did so i kept it vague instead

posting my resume here was a good choice lmao

#

pretty valuable advices CatStare

#

im limited on time and just don't know what project to do. it should be okay if the projects are complex but not original right

yea sorry for late reply, had a hackathon lol. But yea, look for a company you want to work for (especially the ones that have interns at them), and connect w/ the people on linkedin that can get you a job there. For example, once I connected with another high school intern, and I got to the interview. Another time I connected with the founder of a medium sized game dev startup, and he referred me to the lead of the engineering thing (this is still in progress for me rn). I don't tend to get too many replies with emails, linkedin seems to be better

#

by the way what do you think about jira clone

cold skiff
#

probably dynamic

#

alright thank for the advice

#

ngl i don't really have any idea on what project to do at the moment but im gonna look something up

#

i think im just gonna copy what this person does

#

oh lol

I would recommend having one project based on the ChatGPT API. Recently, I created https://triptrio.co and had an initial phone screen with a Google engineer who seemed impressed with it. Of course, the way you present it is important, but it definitely works.

alright i think i'm just gonna make an item market board for uni students

#

i mean facebook buy and sell group for uni students also exists but this can be an improvement CatStare

#

make it so that only people with verified uni emails can post and sell stuff

# woven hill How does this project work? Based on inputs, it generates a prompt for GPT, then...

Yes, I also have an npm package that allows taking snapshots and provides the option to download them as PDFs. Previously, I had implemented authentication so only logged-in users could download the PDF. Additionally, I had integrated a flight search feature through the Rapid API, which fetched the cheapest flights from Skyscanner. However, I temporarily commented out that code. I might add more realtime features using BARD APIs, not sure though.

So with the users, you use Firebase or store on own DB?

Cool project tho
