One sec taking vanguard oa
Move skills to bottom
Bold statistics and phrases related to metrics or popular tech
It says “Object Oriented, Design” but u should prob get rid of this
Either add a new row and split apart those tools/tech or just keep the ones you the most comfortable with, there’s just way too much under that one section
Get rid of your code signal 600 😂 there’s also a typo in signal
Idk if agile really falls under tool or technology
Government job maybe quantify the issues you resolved if possible; this exp needs more detail
Troubleshooted not troubleshot
You should probably remove the second uni
^ I was thinking abt that
try to keep ur exp bullets around 3, 4 only iff there is something important
What did you use to make chatbot?
Second bullet, second exp, just condense that to Apache Kafka Streams Binder
F500 scalability bullet point, do you have an idea of # of users?
Google Maps Route Tracker needs more detail answering “how”, add another bullet point
What is a terraform database?
LOL ok i just added that
i have it on their for clout to pass resume screens
it helps
Is it an actual thing though?
If an engineer reads terraform database they’re gonna think you’re just throwing in keywords without knowing what they mean
yes
Yeah take out terraform
tbh tho i think im gonna keep this because spring boot is the main tech used
no it was internal tool
I don’t think you need to mention that you used a sink connector. You can just say that you populated the data in teradata. If there’s a specific product that you used in teradata, mention it
the Confluent Teradata Sink Connector is the name of product i used
also for the bolding i feel like it makes it tacky
F500 I think you just get rid of the 3rd bullet point altogether the remaining ones are strong together once you change the second one
like im saying the recruiter is dumb and cant recogonize key terms
i had it there because a lot of people use docker and Kubernetes
So is there a consumer in teradata?
maybe i make it stronger?
the machine learning team used the objects in the teradata database
If you can associate some type of metric with it then yea
Also how reputable is Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge
So it’s important that you get key words in but make sure it makes sense, because after the recruiting screen an engineer will also read your resume
not really but it was through microsoft. im assuming companies give it credibilty when they see the big name
nah some of them are just junk like those LinkedIn certs
hmmm
this one was through microsoft
So for like the docker and Kubernetes, what did you actually do here?
deployed it in pre prod before i left
didnt do much with it tbh
and my mentor helped a lot with it
but like I know a lot of companies use docker and k8
If all you did was deployments, say that. Otherwise you’re giving the impression that you created the Kubernetes cluster
And you can get grilled in an interview
Yeah^
Assume every tech you put down in your resume is something you will be asked in a final round
With an engineer
I can answer basic questions on docker and kubernetes
no i wouldnt
ok how does this sound
Created Docker image for application and deployed to teams Kubernetes cluster for enhanced scalability
Yeah this is better
for the google maps project Accelerated route planning speed by 10\% through the development of a C++ backend application optimizing Google Maps API to find the shortest path to a common meeting place
thanks for the help btw i greatly appreciate
Wdym you optimized google maps api? Like you forked it and optimized it that way?
idk if optimized is the best word but basically I timed the execution time of using google maps api before and after changes
tbh i kind of bullshitted that one
So what’s the improvement In comparison to
like using the google maps api without the common meeting spot update
vs with me using djikstras algo
and like i said i bs'd it kind of
Do you have another project you can replace it with
If all you did was implemented dijkstra you shouldn’t put it there
maybe i should make a new project
it was a bit more than that but in general yeah i agree
okok so ill add that to the list of todo
its way better thanks for the help fellas. I decided not to bold the key terms just because I feel like its kind of tacky idk
and then I plan I making a new project and replacing the google maps or just imporving that one idk we will see. Also need to get some more certs
add dates to your projects
also seems kinda weird to group C and C++? maybe that’s just me
not a big fan of listing AWS and React under the same category. maybe try reformat that section a little so it’s more digestible?
i think it’s helpful to add a “personal profile” section at the top which includes a sentence stating where you are in your career and what you are looking for
you are missing very important components of your experience and project sections
you need to state what you learnt
look up the STAR framework
i would change the formatting of the link on your A^2 Technologies project to something more traditional
and like
really consider your bullet points
do they all have a purpose?
does every single word have a purpose?
you want to make sure everything is there for a reason
and is maximising its potential
like your third bullet point for the no name company
is 50% fluff
i would highlight any parts that involved working with a team
also why have you listed intern for two of the jobs and then just “information technology” for the third
doesn’t fit
Agile is not a tool (?)
okok this is good im gonna work on the stuff you suggested
Yeah but do you think that matters?
Idt no one's gonna look at that and reject if there's a mismatch. They just gonna give a brief glance right?
with that logic, why fix any mistake?
in a sea of people correcting their mistakes, do you want to be the one that left them in?
I'm just asking. Presentation and all is cool. Just wondering if such small mistakes/errors matter anyway
