#Did you get OA just after finishing application
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I applied in my state (Virginia) and I got an email like 10 minutes after applying
Revarture isn't that the contracting company where you have to stay with them for a year or something like that
Sketchy ass conpany
The recruiter emailed me with a fake name on some Indian tech support scam technique
lol i got the phone screen from Revature and the recruiter told me they pay 45k the first year
i live in NYC metro
recruiter spelled benefits wrong too
When?
I’d love 45k but all the ppl saying that are from 2 years ago
I got the phone screen like a week after a recruiter hmu
Sorry, I meant when did he get the offer for 14 dollars paid training, they don’t seem to be doing that anymore
Like 1 month ago
It is, also i’m NYC metro so other regions will be lower
Thanks, that’s good to hear. Most stuff from this year has been saying ppl have been waitlisted
u shouldn’t be aiming for companies like this, ur worth more than 45k/year especially if u have a CS degree
don’t want to be dramatic but I’m really not
This stretch of unemployment has really woken me up
I’m like bottom of the barrel cs grad, I would be lucky to land a spot here and tbh I doubt I will
Ur a cs grad tho, there’s so many ppl who drop out and switch to business or IT
revature isn’t for u
i was also unemployed for over 7 months
lol I pay attention to this server, u have lots of experience and ex faang
Sorry I’m not trying to doom anymore but seriously
No i don’t lol i literally had 1 yoe, there’s nothing different from a faang and non faang engineer besides 3-6 months of leetcode prep
you're probably right, I realize we're all in this shit cuz of the market so its not entirely our faults. way too easy to doom
But I still think revature is an ok option to start now
Worst case scenario I dont get placed/freed from contract, best case scenario I get 2 years of solid experience in a relevant stack
yeah hopefully u get it, but u should dip the second the market gets better
those type of companies r for like boot camp grads or IT majors
but something is better than nothing right ?
they have like a 9 months year contact that you need to abide to, or else you get fine 20k - 30k
