Mainly just python
and for the latest internship... typescript? Thats it?
I'm asking rhetorically.... as in why are you not mentioning that on the resume
Ahhh I c
when you switch to google apis
what was involved in that in terms of language/tech
i'll help you rewrite that bullet point
Docker, understanding how the ci/cd pipeline worked, some commands mainly just to get the grab the smoke test results and installing dependencies and then the rest was just typescript which was actually generating the 2fa token and using that to send it to the person who made the push
yeah there's a lot more than you can include then
and you did it in Python you said?
2nd internship was mainly just python and we ran it on annoconda, not really too much I know to add to that
1st internship was mainly TS/JS, node
So I would say:
Standardized smoke test notifications by migrating component to Google APIs using Typescript, improving GitLab's CI/CD pipeline reliability by 12%
"reliability" is a loose term maybe you can find a real metric for that part
Mhmm, I forgot to include this but originally it was sent through SMTP
maybe uptime or something idk
But security had disabled the access token
LOL smtp that's some anceint shit
all good those are minute details maybe for the interview
So technically the reliability increased by 100%
for the resume you can keep the high level interesting stuff
Bc it wasn’t working before 🫡
ok so by making it work... did improve something else? another metric we can look at?
CI completion rate? something related?
^yeah that’s why I didn’t really put in a metric bc it’s not really something that could be metric
it is you gotta think about it
It re setup something that was in their tech debt
Most of the numbers I’ve had on the resume is from me thinking about it
Ya, increased speed at which smoke test results are delivered to user by ~13%
When I say thinking about it I fluffed them
that's fine as long as its an educated guess
yeah that's good, use that
Mhmm, I’ll try thinking of a metric to use and come back here
Yeah do that
But I think the point of putting the language in the bullets is prob the most important
And go over your bullet points and try to include tech used
you're leaving a lot on the table I think
yeah exaclty
Other than that how’s my resume so far?
Pretty good I like it
I think it’s mostly the lack of experience… your resume is already very good
Are the dates for the second and third work experiences perhaps off?
If it ended near the end of January should I just put February instead
I’m liking the way you think 🤔
Oh yeah how much does college matter for getting call backs or something like that
Bc I do not go to a target school
My college is a CUNY
I want to know too, if thats okay
^fixed up my resume a bit if anyone could look at it
beautiful I like it
what resume template is this?
wonsultings
also there is a line underneath technical experience it's just that when I took the photo it didn't come up
