london 32k
i dont have the offer letter yet but that's what it says they pay on the website
Average here for new grads is 35k, its not that bad
oh fr
man london built different
The america-centrism in this server is wild
Lol
The US is really the only place you get those crazy salaries and most people here don't realise how good they have it
yeah you're not wrong. I feel like US salaries are fucking wild
Congrats! 👑
100k at 20 as a SWE is the life in the USA lol
What’s really sad tho is that despite on average low pay and lesser opportunities, cities like London and Toronto are nearly as expensive as NYC/SF bc they are safe havens for international money
I dont really think london's cost of living compares to nyc or sf at all, 32k is perfectly liveable in london, I don't think the same can be said about nyc/sf
The pay is not low in Canada and the uk, its just high in america
Interesting I always thought London to be expensive even within first world standards
In the UK swes will easily be in the top 5% of earners later in their career
It is expensive, but you have to consider 2 things:
- Nyc and sf are SUPER expensive
- The average cscd user cannot manage their money at all, they are completely inept
True, minute we make 6 figures we getting a new Tesla
Always gives me a chuckle when people complain about not having enough money and then you find out they're paying thousands a month for doordash
I meant they should learn to cook instead but I guess that would help a bit too 😂
this is the way
learning to cook is fun ngl
It's gotta be dual motor and you pay another 10k for the self driving software
i just paid 50k for a electric sedan no way am i having the computer drive my expensive car for me
Hopefully this is going to pay my bills🤪
Are you a new grad?
yes, graduating in may
