#I applied for a ton of internships but haven't really been getting any responses. Please help me?

I see. is the process mostly over by now or are there still a good number of companies that are still hiring interns in the spring?
i hear local companies
go to ur career fair in the spring
friend got a job thru there
Change your graduation date to May 2024
do not lie about ur grad date if u have morals^
imo ur technologies list is too long, try to keep it to one line
for smth like awards, i wouldn’t recommend just shoving a bunch into a list like that
it just becomes word vomit
keep your tense consistent even if ur currently doing smth - just use past tense
remove project dates as they may be off putting or misinterpreted to some (it seems like u worked in a project for 2 years)
add a quick tech stack beside the project header (language first, framework/libraries next) as a short and sweet list
adding to this, there’s a double space
Ain’t no one caring about morals here
If you have the ability to graduate in 2024 then it isn't lying
and tbh as long as you took a few APs in HS & aren't doing like 12 credit hours you prob can
this is cope
?
but u do u im tired of arguing about this
my transcript says I am a junior
the school says I'm a junior on the deans list
why should I not say I'm a junior on my resume lol
if ur institution agrees that ur a junior i see no issue
but i’m seeing ppl with grad date 2027
who are writing 2024
and it makes me incredibly pissed
“oh if i drop co-op and overload and take courses during summer” yeah stfu
nah some programs are 5 year due to coop
so they’re 1st year
but yeah
i still don’t agree with changing ur graduation unless u truly intend on it (and that’s something only u know personally)
there are tons of ppl who just lie to themselves in this context
No even if it’s not possible still change your graduation date
I graduate in May 2025 but I changed it to May 2022 before I was a freshman and I got google
I left off my start date
I respect it lmao
if you’re qualified to go through the interview process and can get a job over upperclassmen i really don’t see why you should have to limit yourself by your grad date
that being said it’s not needed
i’ve put 2024 before when i’m probably gonna be 2025
but i got dropbox as a 2025 grad and they knew i was 2025 grad
amen
yeah during my dbx recruiter call they were like “and you’re a 2025 grad right?”
was scared to say yes fr 😭
Yeah, when I graduate in May 2025 I’ll put a graduation date of May 2026 so I can keep passing internship resume screens
If I say I’m a junior as a first year (even if I do have enough credits to graduate in two years in theory) is there a risk that they ask me about the classes that I’ve taken so far?
Since I learned most of the stuff on my own but I haven’t really had a chance to take many classes yet since I’ve only been in college for like half a year
i think you can answer that question yourself
