was it suddenly this morning you couldn't connect, or they told you this morning and you had to pack your stuff in less than a hour @tawdry heath
The second one. I had to pack and leave almost immediately.
So my MD told me every Engineering department was told to reduce headcount or $$ cost by 12.5% - 15%.
was goldman shitting itself in terms of resume or bloated orgs or smt?
didnt know they got to this point
You’d be surprised how many were < 1 year in experience with no formal performance reviews.
Also, I think GS needs a change in leadership because most people laid off were engineers of some sorts and all its competitors are hiring engineers. But that’s a discussion for another forum.
Does it look like they are rescinding new grad offers?
Hey guys, this is my first time on this server. I never thought I would use discord to network for this reason. However Last week on this server a really strong candidate was somehow referred to me. I now have this person interviewing technical rounds at several top tier firms. Thought I’d try it out dm with any questions I’m here to help give advice and introduce you to the right people. I have experience placing 20 year quants/traders/engineers all the way to entry level.
thats awesome !
