did pretty well except on hiring manager interview. Decomp was quite weak for that round
recruiter call: 22sept
onsite: 20th october
final: 9th November
rejected 2 days later
What does the HM consist of? Is it just a behavioral?
depends what you did weaker on in the onsite
Interesting...., so in your case I assume it was a behvaioral based on what you said
Also what stages can you get rejected at?
at any stage
And then as for the technical questions, what would you say their difficulty was?
And did you get any dynamic programming questions at all
didn't get asked any coding questions in onsite or hm
Ok two additional questions
What do you mean by 'learning'? Like learning a new language?
learning a concept
And similarly, what do you mean by 'decomp'?
decomp is high level sys design
Ah, like design patterns?
no, they give an open ended problem and you come up with a solution
Oh interesting
Never have had something like that before, is there anything in particular that you would do to prep for these? It doesn't really sound like leetcode is effective here. And did you get a language choice?
Also thanks for answering all of my questions thus far
you can prep with system design primer on github. For learning, I got options of Java, Python and TypeScript
Alright thanks. Last thing for the time being
Was the karat pretty much bfs/dfs?
And how well did you do on it
got 3/3 on karat. all 3 questions were graphs. I think I solved them with bfs
Difficulty wise was it easy, med, med-hard?
Or something along those lines, if we are thinking in terms of leetcode equivalence
first one was lc easy. 2nd and 3rd was lc med
Understood thanks for all your time mind if I dm if I have further questions?
yeah, no worries
just curious but is the HM scheduling THAT backlogged? A month gap between the on-site and the hm????
Edited message
This is for London
@tawny plover can I dm?
Yeah, send dm
@tawny plover could I dm you as well?
