Applied 10/8, resume reject 10/15
role?
SWE Intern

exactly the timeline i had for my waymo rejection
Anybody get an interview or Oa yet? I applied 10/3 and didnt hear back yet!
I applied for SWE intern generalist on 10/3 and still didnt hear back
Same
@autumn sandal I haven’t heard anything back yet - what was your resume like?
solid projects, decent gpa decent school, prev FAANG internship
@autumn sandal dude that’s pretty cracked
I’d say I have decent gpa, solid projects , top 60 school in the USA located in Bay Area, Fortune 500 internship at VMware (solid work from high school) , multiple cs related involvements
Honestly it feels so RNG so you probably have a good chance still
wish you the best of luck though!
thanks so much!
it's definitely ambitious stuff
yoo has anybody heard back from waymo for an interview or Oa??
at this point just reject me lmao
idk man lmfao
if waymo didn't open i doubt people would apply due to its perceived obscurity
ngl just my two cents
oh shit i'm dumb lmfao
yea well i've never heard of it
i got two
through career fair at school
after they screened
kind of insane when i didn't expect it , it came within a week of the other
I just realized i was only rejected for some of the positions I applied to
but I agree it would be nice to get feedback faster
If u apply now its instant rejection
That I’m more of a SRE dev ops person than straight SWE
I got two interviews one in sre and platform engineering
who is the recruiter?
i applied to just the generalist position
it was through my school so largely depends
what positions you interview for??
i haven't done it yet but about to
i'm a dev ops person so 1) site reliability and 2) platform engineering for two different places
ahh icic
do you know what their process is?
it's crazy
is there a specific SRE position
resume screen > behavioral OA
or its just a generalist position
thats it
yea
exactly
ah it might be some fast track process
the ceo was an alumni
and the other retail place has a ton of grads working there
