so true
f
i'm like mildly sad
if i care enough, i'll probs just re-apply in 6+ months from now and job-hop 1 year into my first job
isnt it bad to leave a compay after 1 year? dont you have to wait 2 years before hopping?
meh i doubt it's that big of a deal for first job since you can just say it wasn't a good culture fit or smthign
probs worse if it's a pattern
How long after final was this?
Hella ppl leave after a year or even less
3 days lol
ignoring weekend
well actually 2 weekdays + 2 weekend days
I waited for 3 wks
Trying to let myself believe they are truly debating over which candidate to take
should i ask for feedback? idk what went wrong
did yall get the technical qs right?
Thats rough
I got both followups I just had some bugs that the interviewer had to point out to fix
which I did so 🤷
damn wtf are they looking for
behavioral fit?
maybe you gotta flawless technicals w/o them pointing out mistakes
I really dislike the behaviorals this time around
were they just exceptionally quirky or something
i'll probs ask for feedback out of curiosity
since my recruiter said they call to give feedback
gotcha
why?
I had some annoying ones like "Name a time where you pushed back against your manager and it went well" or something along those lines
Give a time where you had a setback
Sorry that setback isn’t big enough
Give me another time
yeah I got that question too lmao
I was not confident what to answer
I also got the "Tell me about something that you really regret"
like nah man you're asking me a young college student about some grand life story smh
like in a technical context
?
nope
just in general
that was the prompt tell me about something you regret
and why
LOL why do they care
I had mine yesterday. The behaviorals are the worst (especially the last one)
you mean me
that was the director interview right
lmao
oh

gg
bloomberg awaits u
i decided microsoft > netflix btw while u were gone
you're wrong
and I hope you know it
well
assuming you saying it for clout reasons
Yea, I swear I had the same dude as last year
lmaooo
was your guy an indian dude or nah
just curious if we have the same guy
Yep
ok there's a chance
He showed up 10 minutes late
that or the fact there's probs lots of indian dudes in cs there lmao
Then proceeded to grill the fuck out of me
Idek
fair
He didn’t even introduce himself
Nope
damn im stressed out about the behavioral part now
my director interview is with a guy with mba from stanford
i got netflix final and i have decided not to care
the clout ain’t worth the hours
okok also netflix is only 20k more over 2 years
so money isn’t even that big of a diff
probs can nego it to sig more
I feel like netflix can beat msft by like 40k a year
Do you guys have any tips about the behavioral part? I am stressed out after reading the thread
If you don't wanna talk too specific in here please dm me. I genuinely appreciate it
no idea what they want man
you got this
Nah, IMO 9 months is usually the minimum for people not to side eye the fact that u left your first job quickly
Plenty of people leave between the 9 month and 1 year mark
We will get a second roll of the dice, but we sadly won't be able to apply through university programs anymore
We'll have to fight over positions where they're only hiring one person for it
I'd say before 6 months is too soon and looks weird
But on the other hand
There's fewer applicants
Idk
It still feels like I'm gonna be throwing my resume into the void
tough times
Does anyone have a guide here on finding a place to job hop, and then applying and interviewing
I feel like I'll be needing that in 2024
i prob wont job hop after i get into a company that has good wlb and money
ye
